Deep Tissue

A deep tissue massage involves slow, firm pressure applied to the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue to release chronic tension and break down scar tissue. This type of therapy is used to address chronic pain, reduce muscle knots, and improve mobility, making it beneficial for conditions like back pain, repetitive strain injuries, and sports-related injuries. While more intense than a Swedish massage, a deep tissue massage should not cause pain; a skilled therapist uses their elbows, forearms, and thumbs to target problematic areas with precision.
